Just a quick check-in while I’m on vacation to tell you that THE WNBA PRE-SEASON STARTS TOMORROW, and that EVERY PRE-SEASON GAME IS FREE TO WATCH ON WNBA LEAGUE PASS.

from: WNBA.com
WNBA’s League Pass, which lets you watch every non-local team’s games all season (minus the nationally broadcast games), and also lets you watch any previous game from the current or previous seasons, is the most valuable tool to become a BALL KNOWER. And it is only $40 for the entire season! You simply must be signing up for this.
HUGE CAVEAT: you will not be able to watch Portland Fire games on League Pass, as it is built into contracts between the league and RSN’s (Regional Sports Networks) to funnel local viewers to local TV options. In Portland’s case, that’s the local Fox affiliate, which you can also get for free with a TV antenna, which still exists!
Pre-season games are great, because losing doesn’t matter, which is going to be great for Fire fans whose team have never played a game together, and have a lot of new concepts driving their product.
The Fire play in Seattle Wednesday at 6:00PM, and play in Portland against Los Angeles at 3:00PM next Sunday, May 3rd (I’ll see you there!).
You can find the full-schedule for the pre-season here: https://www.wnba.com/news/free-streaming-2026-preseason-games
And you can watch them all for free by signing up for a WNBA-ID account here: https://www.wnba.com/id
Cheers.
